You Can Hear A Pin Drop In A Gym Full of 800 Middle School Students - Because of Fatherlessness
Oct 22, 2024Many individuals think doing a public school assembly in front of 800 middle school students is intimidating. Not me. I love it. I love it for a variety of different reasons.
I love the challenge.
Speaking in front of so many students at one time is not an easy task!
I love to speak and entertain.
Our school assembly is not just educational but also entertaining, and it holds the attention of the majority of middle school and high school students for the duration of the assembly!
I love to inspire and encourage the fatherless and hurting students.
When I share my story of my dad throwing me to the cops when I was a baby, his absence in my life, meeting him, forgiving him, and more, you can hear a pin drop in the gym.
Why?
The reality is that most students today deal with various kinds of hurt and pain. Many are fatherless or motherless. Many are struggling with depression. Many are bitter, lonely, angry, or fearful.
This is the world we live in.
Why do we focus on fatherlessness?
According to the 2003 U.S. Census Bureau: 17.8 million children, close to 1 in 4, live without a biological, step, or adoptive father in the home. *(Living arrangements of children under 18 years old: 1960 to present. Washington, D.C.: U.S. Census Bureau.)
What about Your School?
As educators, it can be hard to navigate issues such as fatherlessness, but that is why we exist. We are here to help you!
Let's Work Together!
